Both animations and video games allow us to experiment with culinary creations, which are often so tempting that we are forced to try them ‘IRL’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kat of Whimsy, a Kitchen League veteran, recreated Chunks<\/strong>‘ cuisine in Starfield<\/strong>, the sci-fi role-playing game that has inspired this chef to ‘de-digitize’ those creations to create 10 dishes from the game’s cube-shaped menu.<\/p>\n\n\n

The game is set in the future, specifically in the year 2330, a time in which humanity has colonized the cosmos, and in which there are many Chunks<\/strong>: a popular fast food chain founded by Fred Blombart, which serves versions of cube-shaped preparations: from apples to steaks or wine that acquire that cubic appearance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To sculpt these shapes, Whimsy ordered silicone molds from Amazon, similar to those used to make large ice cubes. She then prepared and filled each mold with its respective ingredients. In a pot of water, she boiled them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
