King Felipe VI has passed through Zaragoza on a “personal visit<\/strong>” to meet Princess Leonor.\u00a0Taking advantage of her stay, he ate at a restaurant in the Aragonese capital, Tajo Bajo, a place specialized in Aragonese food with a contemporary touch in the central Plaza del Pilar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The monarch spent the evening with\u00a0about 30 people<\/strong>, around 2:30 p.m., among whom were colleagues from the Navy and their respective wives.\u00a0The diners opted for a closed menu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\u00a0confirmed by chef\u00a0Rub\u00e9n Mart\u00edn<\/strong>\u00a0to the Heraldo<\/a>, they ate borage croquette, beef jerky with Patamulo cheese, gyozas with lamb from Aragon, creamy boletus rice, fried artichokes and pork rind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To accompany the meal they had Somontano wine and the king’s favorite snack turned out to be “tataki baturro<\/strong>“, made with beef from the Pyrenees.\u00a0For dessert, they had French toast with almond brittle ice cream.\u00a0Finally, the king took a photo with the staff who attended to him that afternoon and whose image they later shared on their social networks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
