Its recommendations and reviews are read by thousands of people and what is included in its pages automatically becomes a trend. Such as the latest list of the 20 best wines under $20, published by one of its wine experts, Eric Asimov. The critic has included two Spanish wines in this ranking: a red and a sparkling wine. We reveal which ones they are.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the lucky -and affordable- Spanish wines is Mibal Joven 2021 from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hornillosballesteros.info\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hornillos Ballesteros<\/a>. This is a Ribera del Duero made from biodynamically farmed Tempranillo grapes, with aromas of red fruits, blueberries, strawberry, raspberry, blackberry, blackberry and a touch of citrus. The reviewer notes that the Ribera del Duero region has always been known for its powerful, intense reds, but has been evolving towards more nuanced, such as this well-balanced wine from Hornillos Ballesteros. The price specified by NY is $19.96, although in some online stores it can be found for up to \u20ac7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/MiBal-Joven-1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"751\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/MiBal-Joven-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-208546\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/MiBal-Joven-1.jpg 751w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/MiBal-Joven-1-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/MiBal-Joven-1-400x533.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 751px) 100vw, 751px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A sparkling wine, also among the best<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Eric Asimov has also opted for a peculiar Catalan sparkling wine. It is the Miranius of the brand <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cellercredo.cat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Celler Credo<\/a>. It is a single varietal wine made from 100% Xarello grapes. Located in Alt Pened\u00e9s and belonging to Bodega Recaredo, they produce a variety of still wines, among which is this Miranius, which NY defines as &#8220;lovely dry, tasty and slightly creamy xarello, made with grapes from biodynamic agriculture&#8221;. The media outlet puts its price at $15.99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/miranius-celler-credo.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"751\" height=\"1000\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/miranius-celler-credo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-208548\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/miranius-celler-credo.jpg 751w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/miranius-celler-credo-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/miranius-celler-credo-400x533.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 751px) 100vw, 751px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The New York Times has also included in the list wines from other parts of the world such as the French La P\u00e9pie Muscadet Sevre et Maine Sur Lie, from P\u00e9pi\u00e8re; or the Vinho Verde Loureiro 2021, from the Portuguese winery Aphros, among others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click here to read the Spanish version.The New York Times is a reference media and in gastronomic issues it would not be less.
