In the United States, the historically best-selling drink during the summer has been ros\u00e9 wine. This has turned out to be summer after summer. However, this year it seems that the tables have turned and it demonstrates a new trend in the market and, therefore, among consumers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Drizly<\/strong><\/a> company, the main North American alcoholic beverage marketer, has revealed the data for this summer that is now ending. The numbers are clear and leave no room for doubt, ros\u00e9 is losing popularity among buyers<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the distributor, purchases of ros\u00e9 wine have fallen by around 10% between May and August 2023<\/strong> compared to last year, with special relevance in the wine most purchased by customers, which is Lambrusco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new kings of summer<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The question is who has taken his place? And the answer is not far away on the shelves that separate one drink from the other. There are two wines that have overtaken ros\u00e9 in the race to be the best-selling wine in that country<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of them is the red Barbera<\/strong>, the name given to the type of grape with which this wine is made, which can be grown in places as diverse as Australia or California. Even so, the best sellers have been those from Italy, from Piedmont<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the popular brand, its sales grew 16% compared to the previous year<\/strong>. This type of wine stands out because of its notes of red fruits and its assertive acidity<\/strong>. It is usually a good accompaniment to any type of meal, especially baked potatoes or vegetables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other great beneficiary of the change in market trend is another red wine called Gamay<\/strong>, made from the grape of the same name and which has usually grown in the French Loire Valley since the 16th century.
