An event around Cabrales cheese in which this year El Llagar de Colloto (Oviedo) has beaten the previous record, which reached the same local in 2019 of 20,500 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This renowned Asturian festival brought together<strong> nine catering establishments <\/strong>from all over the country: La Cabana (Oviedo), La Paloma (Oviedo), Casa Rom\u00e1n (Gij\u00f3n), La Montera Picona de Ram\u00f3n (Gij\u00f3n), Hotel Restaurante Marqu\u00e9s de La Moral (Naveces, Castrill\u00f3n), La Cuenca (Madrid), Carlos Tartiere (Madrid), Grupo El Antoju (Madrid, Burgos and Llanes) and El Llagar de Colloto itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The Llagar de Coto <\/strong>managed to win a <strong>new Guinness record<\/strong> after winning the bid for the fourth consecutive year with a piece made by the cheese factory &#8216;Los Puertos&#8217; weighing about 2.2 kilos, made from a mixture of cow&#8217;s and goat&#8217;s milk and matured for 10 months at an altitude of 1,500 meters.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/queso-cabrales-guiness-record-2.jpeg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/queso-cabrales-guiness-record-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-205289\" style=\"width:1072px;height:718px\" width=\"1072\" height=\"718\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/queso-cabrales-guiness-record-2.jpeg 928w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/queso-cabrales-guiness-record-2-300x201.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/queso-cabrales-guiness-record-2-768x514.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.tapasmagazine.es\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/queso-cabrales-guiness-record-2-400x268.jpeg 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1072px) 100vw, 1072px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most popular blue cheese in our country has Protected Designation of Origin recognition, and is named after the Asturian town and council where it is made, originally only with goat&#8217;s milk that today allows the use of a mixture with sheep or cow&#8217;s milk, always raw, which was made by shepherds in the Picos de Europa from the milk of their herds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Of the 30,000 euros paid out, 4,500 will go to the Galb\u00e1n association for the fight against cancer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Click here to read the Spanish version.
