After two years of previews and riddles surrounding the film, the official trailer has been unveiled for this long-awaited movie that takes us into the early adventures of young Willy Wonka<\/strong>, played by Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

‘Wonka’<\/strong>, the film that deals with the chocolate maker’s adolescence, directed by Paul King, becomes a prequel to the chimera and sweet delusions of Gene Wilder’s iconic 1971 film, as well as Tim Burton’s fascinating version, ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ (2005), starring Johnny Depp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, unlike Burton’s remake, King ‘didn’t want to reinvent’ the iconic Gene Wilder film. Instead, he wanted to create Wonka as a ‘companion piece’ to it, he told Entertainment Weekly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond Timoth\u00e9e, the cast<\/strong> of the new film, which will debut at the height of the holiday season on December 15, 2023, also includes other notable actors such as Olivia Colman -who recently appeared in the standout seventh episode of the second season of ‘The Bear’- and Hugh Grant, star of ‘Paddington’, in the role of an Oompa Loompa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
