First of all, fufu is a typical product of the African continent, where it is considered a staple food. It is a paste made with cassava or ripe plantain, although it can also be made with other tubers, such as yam or cassava. Originally from Ghana, it is also widespread in other countries such as Nigeria or Ivory Coast, and has even reached Spain.
