A whisky on display since then in an exclusive showcase that a cast of collectors who attended its auction at Sotheby&#8217;s house last week had the opportunity to access.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the midst of this atmosphere suspended in luxury and ostentation, the Mokume edition surpassed all expectations and estimates, being bid for $275,000 by an anonymous buyer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This high-end Bowmore whiskey, notable for having been aged for 52 years, first in American oak Hogshead barrels and then in European oak barrels, features a high-end hand-lapped glass design inspired by the aesthetic imagery of the luxury sports car company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What does a quarter million dollar whiskey taste like?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>ARC-52 Scotch whisky, which features a mid-century modern style, distills a combination of tropical fruit and butterscotch, with notes of apricot, green apple, orange zest and guava.
