It is the coronation of King Charles III of England. The last time there was an event of such caliber was exactly 70 years ago. On that occasion, the menu served during the ceremony was much talked about: his famous chicken, also known as Coronation chicken. It is a special chicken recipe for that occasion prepared with a creamy curry sauce of Indian inspiration. As that dish was a trend-setter, there was much anticipation as to what Charles III of England and Queen Consort Camilla Parker Bowles would serve. And in addition to the quiche, renowned Chinese chef Ken Hom will prepare a roast rack of lamb with an Asian marinade. Another option will be what has been dubbed the Coronation eggplant, dressed with yogurt, fried onion and chutney, and which has been devised by Nadiya Hussain who won the talent &#8216;The Great British Bake Off&#8217;. The sweet icing for dessert will be provided by chef Adam Handling with a revamped strawberry and ginger trifle. This time, the recipes will have a common denominator: they will be spicy and garlic-free. Apparently, the Queen consort does not like spicy food and, therefore, have decided to opt for a lighter dish such as spinach quiche. Tom also specified that Camilla does not like too much spices, and that she prefers fish and fresh vegetables.
