One of the most important Spanish-language film festivals is kicking off: the Malaga Film Festival. From the 10th to the 19th of March, the best of the big screen will be on show, with a programme of more than 200 films and a host of parallel activities related to the film industry. This year’s candidates for the Golden Biznaga include titles such as ‘Bajo terapia’ by Gerardo Herrero, ‘El fant\u00e1stico caso del Golem’ by Juan Gonz\u00e1lez and Nando Mart\u00ednez, ‘Els Encantats’ by Elena Trap\u00e9 and ‘Las buenas compa\u00f1\u00edas’ by S\u00edlvia Munt. In addition, Blanca Portillo will receive the Malaga Award for her career and director Alberto Rodr\u00edguez will receive the Retrospective Award. The Malaga Festival<\/a> will also pay tribute to Carlos Saura with the screening of the documentary ‘Las paredes hablan’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will be 10 days in which Malaga will be full of people to enjoy the cinema. It is estimated that there will be more than 90% occupancy in the city.
