In addition, he recently premiered a series on HBO in which he makes a gastronomic tour of Spain with his daughters. During the first episode, <strong>his daughters revealed the reason for an argument that Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s had with Ferr\u00e1n Adri\u00e0 in the 90s, which led to his departure to the United States<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although in the series Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s passes over the subject, his daughters commented that the anger came because the creator of El Bulli did not want to hire him. <strong>Previously Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s had been an intern at the restaurant in the late 80s and Adri\u00e0 had been fascinated by his work<\/strong>. That is why, a few years later, he summoned him for a meeting where he was going to offer him a contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s arrived punctually for his appointment and waited for a while. When he saw that he did not show up, he left the restaurant to look for a telephone and contact him. When he went back in, <strong>Ferr\u00e1n Adri\u00e0 was waiting angrily, thinking that the Asturian had been delayed. And for that reason he decided not to hire him<\/strong>. Although, judging by events in which they have coincided, it seems that later the relationship improved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This was a <strong>turning point in Jos\u00e9 Andr\u00e9s&#8217; professional career, since he then decided to move to the United States<\/strong>, where he became one of the most recognized and beloved chefs in the country, creating a true gastronomic empire and doing great humanitarian work around the world with his NGO World Central Kitchen.
