Billionaires’ celebrations are usually at the height of their pockets, and a clear example is that of Jeff Bezos, who is currently the third richest person in the world. It is estimated that he has a fortune of 144.6 billion dollars, so we assume that he has at his fingertips any whim he fancies. The Amazon entrepreneur and his partner, Lauren Sanchez, are on vacation in France with Bezos’ sister and her husband (a few days ago they visited the Balearic Islands and ate at Casa Jondal, Rafa Zafra’s restaurant).

It seems that such an idyllic setting as the French coast has been the place chosen for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez to make their future marriage official. As reported by People magazine, the couple dined at the restaurant La Petit Maison in Cannes and ordered zucchini flowers with parmesan accompanied by an expensive bottle of Dugat-Py Grand Cru wine from Domaine Bernard, valued at 4,000 € ($4,285). Although it must be said that, analyzing the restaurant’s wine list, there are more expensive options, such as a 1989 Petrus that costs 14,500 a bottle, or a 2012 Armand de Brignac champagne, $19,000.

In addition, according to People magazine’s own source, the celebration was as discreet as possible, with Bezos himself joking that “they didn’t want to make a fuss”. Also, for a toast of such caliber, Lauren Sanchez wore a ring valued at 2.5 million dollars. To finish off this lavish vacation, the couple have been cruising the Mediterranean coast in their $500 million luxury yacht. Any takers?
