The queen of rock, Tina Turner, died last Wednesday at the age of 83 after a long illness. She did so at her home in Zurich and after years of retirement from the stage. Her inimitable voice and unmistakable style made her an icon of music. Songs like ‘River Deep – Mountain High’, ‘Proud Mary’, ‘What’s Love Got to Do with It’, ‘We Don’t Need Another Hero’ or ‘(Simply) The Best’ are clear examples of the musical legacy left by this artist. Precisely one of her greatest hits has served as inspiration to create a burger that won one of the Audacious awards in the last championship of Best Burger Spain. You can try it at the restaurant La Misión and is called ‘Tuna Turner’.

The Tuna Turner, a ‘Simply The Best’ burger

This hamburger created by Pelayo Galán and the entire team of Grupo La Misión pays tribute to the queen of rock with a simple but very original proposal. It is made with a tuna burger (hence its name with the pun), avocado, wakame seaweed and sriracha mayonnaise. It costs €15.99 and is available both in the restaurant and for delivery. Its creators define it as simply the best. As La Misión Group’s motto says: “Our mission is to be in your memory without falling into oblivion”. Undoubtedly, a proposal that pays tribute to an artist as eternal as Tina Turner.
