Knowing where great chefs dine when they are on vacation is a good indication to replicate these gastro stops when visiting different destinations. José Andrés is a regular on the Cadiz coast and every restaurant he visits deserves a special mention. On this occasion, the Asturian chef has visited, along with his family, the restaurant Casa Blas, located in Zahara de los Atunes (Cadiz).

This small family business has been in business for more than 20 years and has become a reference in the gastronomy of Zahara. Specializing in grilled meats, another of the strengths of the place is, of course, the fish, more specifically the almadraba tuna. In fact, in 2017 they won a prize in the Tuna Route, thanks to the Athun Thai tapa, which they created for the occasion.

The cuisine of Casa Blas is mainly traditional, using seasonal products to highlight the authentic Andalusian flavor. Other delicacies that can be tasted here are its rice with carabinero or Iberian lagartito and artichokes; also its beef croquettes or tortellinis with carabinero cream, among other options.

Located in a quiet area, away from the crowds and next to the Cachón River, Casa Blas is the ideal place to go with family or friends and experience the essence of Zahara in all its splendor. In addition, the restaurant team is a small family that provides a unique culinary experience.
