Former U.S. President Barack Obama and film director Steven Spielberg, along with their wives, Michelle Obama and Kate Capshaw, visited the monastery of Montserrat on Saturday before Obama traveled to a series of conferences in Zurich, Switzerland.

After several sightseeing tours in the area, such as going up the Sant Joan funicular for a walk on the top of the mountain of Montserrat, they stopped for lunch at the Abat Cisneros restaurant, located on the premises of the Abat Cisneros hotel.

It is a restaurant specializing in Catalan and Mediterranean food with a quiet atmosphere that has a stone vault that formerly housed stables.

Although it is not clear what the Obamas and Spielbergs ate, some of the dishes offered by the restaurant include tuna tartar, cod, different preparations of veal, classic appetizers and tapas, and a tasting menu.

“Today we ate at this restaurant and, apart from the fact of being able to enjoy a very good cuisine, we were able to enjoy the presence of Barack and Michelle Obama and Steven Spielberg, among others. Focusing on the restaurant, we must speak, at first, of the extraordinary education, elegance and kindness of its staff. As for the food, we have taken the menu of 39.10 € for adults and just over 10 € for children,” highlights one of the opinions of visitors on Tripadvisor.
