After his visit to the Cannes Film Festival, Leonardo DiCaprio decided to take a vacation in Mediterranean waters. The actor has made a tour in luxury yachts with stops in cities like Sardinia, Ibiza and Formentera. And, according to some media reports, he has done it accompanied by what could be his new girlfriend, the model Meghan Roche, 22 years old and friend of Gigi Hadid. During his stay in the Balearic Islands, DiCaprio also took the opportunity, of course, to treat himself to a good gastronomic tribute. Below, we show you the two restaurants where the star of ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’ ate.

According to several media, such as Diario de Ibiza, DiCaprio and his alleged new girlfriend, stayed two nights in Ibiza and stayed at Ibiza Gran Hotel, although they played a game of misdirection with the paparazzi who were taking pictures of them. Among the places where they ate in Ibiza that they visited was the Cipriani restaurant, located in the hotel where they were staying.

Downtown Ibiza by Guiseppe Cipriani is a sophisticated restaurant overlooking the port of Ibiza. Opened in 2012 and originally Venetian, here is a traditional Mediterranean cuisine with high quality raw materials and great attention to detail. The Cipriani philosophy is to do simple things to perfection, with the finest and most authentic ingredients. In their menu you can find dishes such as the Special Pizza, the Veal Tartar “a la Cipriani”, the Octopus and Artichoke Salad with Olive Oil and Lemon or the Baked Chicken “a la Ca’ D’oro” with Roasted Potatoes. There is also a Sushi and Sashimi section. Cipriani has different and luxurious locations around the world, such as Venice, Montecarlo, Marbella, New York or Dubai, among others.

The American actor and his companions also visited Formentera and on the island they went to try the restaurant Es Molí de Sal, as could be seen in the images published by the media Just Jared. It is the most emblematic restaurant in the area and is located in an old mill belonging to the old salt industry of Formentera. It offers unique views of the Illetes beach, so a meal here is most gratifying.

As for the gastronomic proposal, to eat at Es Molí de Sal is to literally taste the Mediterranean Sea. Its menu features rice dishes and fish, such as lobster paella or lobster stew. But there is also room for tapas and options to share, with choices such as prawn carpaccio, oysters, open omelette with sea urchin and glass prawns or prawn croquettes.

Nudo Ibiza, the restaurant he shouldn’t miss either

We don’t know if his stay in the Balearic Islands has come to an end, but if Leonardo DiCaprio is still in Ibiza, another restaurant he should visit is Nudo Ibiza, the brand new Tapas Magazine’s T de Oro award in the Balearic Islands.

And why? Well, because, as Antonio Beneyto says in our Guide, at Nudo they prepare an excellent, simple, fresh product cuisine. Dishes prepared with the minimum possible intervention, a lot of raw and fermented food. They fuse the sea and the Ibizan countryside: vegetables, aromatic plants, flowers. This experience is the responsibility of four professionals of the kitchen, the dining room and the wines who met at NOMA in Copenhagen and who, after working on other projects in different parts of the world, have landed on the island. The wild scallop tartar in sorrel leaf is spectacular.
