Juliette Binoche has always spoken of her love for gastronomy, both on and off camera. In fact, in her latest film, The Taste of Things, she plays a cook, but it is not the first role that makes reference to cooking -just remember Chocolat in 2000-. Although it has been available in Spain since December, the film has just been released in the United States. In the midst of promotion, during an interview with People, Juliette Binoche has once again emphasized her love for cooking and has detailed which are the favorite dishes she always loved to prepare, especially when her children were young.

The veteran actress also stressed that being French and coming from a family that loves gastronomy, she had also inherited that love for cooking, considering it as “a sincere art form”, according to People. She also detailed that, when her schedule allows it, she loves to spend hours in the kitchen preparing different recipes, both for gatherings with friends and for her children. In fact, one of the dishes she used to prepare for them when they were little was the traditional French crêpes. According to the actress, every Wednesday, for at least 15 years, Binoche made this sweet recipe.

Also a recipe inherited from his mother

Another of her favorite recipes is a dish that her mother used to prepare when she and her sister were little. It is a traditional peasant stew, similar to pot-au-feu, but with chicken. The final touch was a “spectacular” sauce prepared with capers, lemon, cream and broth as the main ingredient.
