It has become a habit to turn to Google when you want to know something or have doubts about a topic. And in culinary matters it becomes almost a must. Searching for recipes of your favorite dishes or food that you want to prepare at home is something we all do. But what are the most searched recipes? As every year, Google has just published its report with the trends for 2023. And in the recipes section, the Top 10 will surely surprise you. Below, we show you the first part of the 10 most searched recipes of this year on Google. And, in addition, we show you how to cook them step by step, in case you have not yet been encouraged.

We start this ranking with the recipe that closes the Top 10. It is a traditional dish that is always a hit in any kitchen: the Castilian soup. Just one position above, another of the most searched recipes of the year has been quince jelly, which reaffirms that it is one of the favorite appetizers and desserts. In the 8th position, another accompaniment with sweet touches that is also very popular, apple compote, has slipped in. For its part, the Italian pizza dough recipe has been the 7th most searched recipe, while in the number 6 position has been the fig jam. We leave you the explanation of these recipes below.

Castilian soup recipe

Ingredients:

  • 8 cloves of garlic
  • Half a loaf of bread
  • 500 ml chicken broth
  • A package of Serrano ham in cubes
  • 1 egg per person
  • Olive oil
  • Sweet paprika

Preparation:

  • Peel and slice the garlic cloves. Put a dash of olive oil in a casserole and cook the garlic over low heat, adding the diced ham.
  • For the bread, better if it is bread from the day before. Cut it into slices and add it to the pan when you see that the garlic and ham begin to brown.
  • While it is cooking and integrating everything well, add sweet paprika and stir again, trying not to burn it.
  • Next, add the chicken broth and lower the heat to simmer for 15 minutes.
  • The last step is to add the eggs, one per person. To do this, you must crack them and add them to the casserole. Then, cover the casserole and let it cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
  • Serve this Castilian soup very hot.

Quince recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of quinces
  • 400 g sugar
  • 150 ml of water
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Salt

Preparation:

  • First peel the quinces and cut them, removing the pips (reserve them).
  • Then cut the 4 quinces, remove the pips and the core, and reserve them; we will use them in the cooking of the quince because they have a large amount of pectin, which will help us to make our quince jam more consistent and consistent.
  • Drizzle the pulp with the lemon juice. Put it in a bowl, add the sugar, stir well and leave the mixture to macerate overnight.
  • The next day, cook the quince in a saucepan with all the macerated liquid it has released during the night, with the water and a pinch of salt and you will see that it changes color.
  • When it thickens, it is time to mash it well in a potato masher or blender.
  • Cook again over low heat and stir well for half an hour.
  • Put the quince in a mold, cover with plastic wrap (with weight on top to press it well). Leave at room temperature until cool. Then store in the refrigerator for a day or two, and it will be ready to eat.

Applesauce recipe

Ingredients:

  • 5 apples
  • 130 g sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 250 ml water
  • Lemon juice

Preparation:

  • Peel the apples and dice them.
  • In a saucepan, add the apples and add the sugar, lemon juice, water and cinnamon stick. Put it over high heat and, as soon as it starts to boil, lower it to medium heat. Cook for 30 minutes, stirring well until it reaches the desired texture.
  • Pour the mixture into a blender glass, remove the cinnamon stick and blend well until it is very thick (without becoming liquid).

Italian pizza dough recipe

Ingredients:

  • 500 g of strong flour
  • 1 sachet of fresh yeast
  • Salt
  • Olive oil
  • 1 glass of warm water

Preparation:

  • Add the yeast to the glass of warm water, crumbling it well beforehand. Stir to dissolve well. Stir very well until it is dissolved.
  • Then, pour the flour into a bowl along with a tablespoon of salt. Mix well and leave a hole in the middle to add the olive oil and the yeast with the water. Stir well while kneading to integrate all the ingredients.
  • On a floured surface, continue kneading for 10 more minutes.
  • When the mixture is integrated, form a ball, cover it with a cloth and let it rest for an hour, so that it doubles its volume.
  • After this time, knead the dough again, making folds over itself.
  • Cut the dough in half, to form what will be the dough of your pizza (the other part you can reserve). Knead and stretch well, depending on whether you want it thinner or thicker.
  • Preheat the oven and bake the dough for 12 minutes. Then, add the ingredients you want and finish baking your pizza.

Fig jam recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg of peeled figs
  • 500 gr of sugar
  • Juice of half a lemon

Preparation:

  • First clean the figs and let them macerate in a casserole, adding the sugar and lemon juice. Set aside for a couple of hours or three.
  • After that time, put the figs in a saucepan and cook for about 40 minutes over medium heat, stirring from time to time.
  • Once it has thickened, remove from the heat. You can pass the mixture through a potato masher or blender.
  • Transfer the jam to a previously sterilized jar, close tightly and put them upside down for a whole day.
