If you thought that big businessmen fed only on caviar, lobster and other sophisticated products, you were wrong. And Amancio Ortega, founder of Inditex and one of the richest people in the world, has recently corroborated it. Well, it was not him directly, but chef David de Jorge, better known as Robin Food, as he said a few days ago on the program Más de uno, on Onda Cero. De Jorge was invited to the headquarters of Inditex together with Martín Berasategui, after Amancio saw them on El Hormiguero presenting his book Pan comido. More recipes without shame. There they were able to talk about different topics, among them their favorite dishes.

In addition, during their visit, the prestigious chefs got to know the ins and outs of one of the largest companies in the world, but they focused mainly on the gastronomic side, specifically in the dining rooms that the company has at its headquarters in Arteixo (A Coruña). “They have kitchens, cold rooms, suppliers ….. They have a system for people to eat well and eat well,” he commented on Alsina’s program, adding that they also tasted the food -and they gave it a good mark.

Amancio Ortega’s favorite dishes

Returning to the main topics of conversation between Robin Food, Berasategui and Ortega, of course there was no lack of cooking. In fact, the mediatic Basque chef even confessed which were the businessman’s favorite dishes. And, far from being sophisticated recipes with caviar or expensive food, as we mentioned at the beginning, Ortega prefers traditional dishes such as potato omelette, to which De Jorge added: “He is a ‘concebollista’, like us”.

He also added other dishes that the founder of Inditex likes the most, adding that they are “things that we all like”. Among Amancio Ortega’s favorite dishes were meatballs, stewed shank, fish soup and lentils with chorizo.
