Are you one of those who prefer to try only local food when you’re traveling or one of those who are curious about eating ‘Spanish’ proposals in other countries? It seems that Ibai Llanos and El Xokas are the latter, as famous streamers were on a trip to South Korea and thought it was a great idea to enter a Spanish food restaurant. As expected, the experience was not entirely satisfactory.

The bar, directly called ‘Tapas’, offered all kinds of traditional dishes of our gastronomy. Ibai and El Xokas ordered a bit of everything. They started off well by trying the Serrano ham, “well, an acceptable level, although it’s not Iberian”, said El Xokas. It didn’t seem to be going so badly when they tried the bread with tomato: “It’s worse than in Spain but it’s not bad,” said the influencers.

But when it was time for more elaborate tapas, things got a little out of hand. They opted for the paella, whose recipe included prawns, clams, mussels, squid and cherry tomatoes. Although El Xocas said it wasn’t bad at all, Ibai described the taste of the mussels as “very similar to that of a cigarette butt”. “A Valencian sees this and beats you up,” added his companion. The final verdict on our most international dish was the following: “Paella is an absolute disaster. The Valencians were going to bust us in the comments but it’s deserved because it’s garbage. It’s really disgusting.”

Other dishes tasted included a chorizo lasagna, mushrooms with sauce, or patatas bravas with meat, vegetables and cheese.
