The Tripadvisor portal has once again released the Traveller’s Choice Best of the Best list, which includes the favorite hotels of its users based on positive comments. In 2023, the hotel that tops the list is Rambagh Palace, in Jaipur (India). But a hotel in Spain has also made it to the top of the list. It is the luxury resort Ikos Andalusia. Located in Estepona, in the heart of the Costa del Sol, one of the great attractions of this hotel is its gastronomic offer. It has nine restaurants with cuisines from all over the world that will delight the most foodies.

This hotel is located in a unique natural setting between the mountains and the sea, which makes your stay here a dream. It has many services to enjoy a wide range of experiences, but undoubtedly the gastronomic part is one of its assets, thanks to the nine restaurants that make up a gourmet proposal that travels from Andalusia to Italy, through Provence, Greece or Asia.

Oliva, authentic Spanish flavor

We begin the gastronomic breakdown of Ikos Andalusia with the Oliva restaurant, where you can enjoy authentic Spanish cuisine with a renewed touch, while enjoying the incredible views offered by the resort. It is run by chef David Ibarboure, who has worked in New York, Paris and London and in 2010 opened his own restaurant, Terre-Mer.

From Italy to Greece, passing through Provence

A resort with nine restaurants offers all kinds of cuisine. Of course, one of the foods you can’t miss is Italian. At Ikos Andalusia you will find the Fresco restaurant, with a delicious menu created by chef Ettore Botrini, including dishes with fresh local products and classic recipes but with a unique contemporary touch. Buon appetito!

Another of the world’s most characteristic cuisines available at Ikos Andalusia is the unmistakable Greek food. It can be tasted in the Ouzo restaurant, authentic Greek dishes at your disposal, in a menu prepared by chef Lefteris Lazarou, who was the first chef to introduce seafood in a fine dining restaurant in Greece and introduced to the public types of fish that were unknown to them.

The European gastronomic representation at the hotel Ikos Andalusia is completed with the Provence restaurant, all the flavor of French elegance with delicious flavors that take you directly to the French Riviera. The menu, of course, has proposals based on recipes from Provence and seasonal products.

More flavors of the world

At the Anaya restaurant, diners will be able to enjoy an authentic Asian culinary adventure. A journey through the palate that passes through Thailand, China and India. The proposal is in charge of chef Thiou, who in Anaya has found the perfect balance between her Asian influence and fresh European ingredients. The result is refined dishes characterized by spicy spices and modern seasonings.

In the very complete gastronomic offer of Ikos Andalusia, the Flavors space offers an endless number of delicacies in a buffet menu format that changes periodically. You will find fresh flavors of the Mediterranean, while enjoying an evening overlooking the sea.

Also a Beach Club, beach bar and seasonal products.

Finally, it also offers more casual proposals, such as its Chiringuito, ideal for tasting traditional tapas and seafood delicacies, such as squid, croquettes, salmorejo, patatas bravas or even paellas. Another option is its Beach Club, to relax watching the sunset cocktail in hand, while enjoying chill out music or different sessions of the resident DJs. As for the menu, you have at your disposal a lot of international dishes that you can taste on the beach. Finally, the Seasons bar is another relaxed space that offers sustainable products from local markets and producers. Would you have time to try them all?
