Julianne Moore divides the internet with her hate to mashed potatoes

The actress's new gastronomic criticism has generated a wave of controversy in the networks.

As part of one of the promotions for her new film ‘May December‘, Moore shared her dislike and misunderstanding of one of the world’s most popular foods: mashed potatoes.

The film’s co-stars, including Natalie Portman, also revealed their least favourite foods. In a sequence in which the actress took the opportunity to reveal that mashed potatoes were on her ‘hate list’ of foods, and that she couldn’t understand why other people didn’t share her opinion on the subject.

Why do people like mashed potatoes? It’s mush. It’s nothing but mush,’ he said on 30 November during a panel discussion in New York moderated by host Josh Horowitz.

Meanwhile, Charles Melton was quick to defend the dish, to which Moore replied: ‘I know, people love it, they love it – it’s just mashed potatoes.

Natalie Portman, meanwhile, expressed her opposition to the fruit in the salad. I don’t like it. I like fruit salad, but I don’t want a salty salad with fruit in it. It bothers me.
