Ikea launches a giant meatball (turkey-sized) for this Christmas season

The Swedish company, whose meatballs are all the rage, has decided to create a huge 4.5 kg meatball to become the star dish this Christmas.

If Ikea is popular for anything, in addition to its varied and affordable range of furniture, it is for the gastronomic offer of its cafeteria and, in particular, its meatballs, which have already become an emblem. Taking advantage of the pull and fascination they cause among its customers, the Swedish multinational has decided to go a step further in the UK and has created a giant meatball to offer as a main dish at Christmas dinners.

This colossal ball is turkey-sized and weighs no less than 4.5 kg. With the giant meatball, Ikea aims to compete with the traditional turkey to become the new emblem of Christmas. They have announced it through their social networks in an eye-catching video that is accompanied by the following message: “It’s big. It’s tasty. It’s a real Christmas spectacle. Introducing the IKEA turkey-sized meatball. You’ll soon find out how to get your hands on one.

This mega meatball is made of veal and pork, accompanied by mashed potatoes and, like “its daughters”, it also has a cranberry jam and creamy sauce.

Although it has not yet been officially launched for sale and it is not known how much this Christmas ball will cost, it is already known that it will only be available in some establishments in the United Kingdom. Of course, the peculiar dimensions of the meatball have raised doubts about its veracity, and many followers of the brand believe that it is just a marketing campaign.
