How to prepare homemade waffles, a sweet recipe ideal for these days

We continue with our sweet furor of these dates and now we have craved a waffle for a snack. As these days there are many family celebrations, we propose a recipe for homemade waffles so you can prepare at home and surprise your family. In addition, you can add the syrups and toppings you want to make your own proposal. It’s super easy and delicious, take note!

Homemade waffles recipe

Ingredients:

  • 225 g pastry flour
  • 1 egg
  • Golden powdered sugar (optional)
  • 250 ml milk
  • 50 g butter (melted and cooled)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Maple syrup, chocolate, cream and toppings of your choice

Preparation:

  • In a bowl, pour the egg yolk and add the flour, a pinch of salt, the sugar and beat little by little. Add the milk and then the butter and vanilla, while continuing to stir to obtain a homogeneous mixture.
  • If you want a fluffier waffle, you can beat the egg whites until stiff and add to the mixture little by little.
  • Heat the waffle iron and grease well (if you don’t have one, you can also use a sandwich maker or a small frying pan, although you won’t get the ‘original’ waffle shape).
  • Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the waffles are golden brown and crispy.
  • Serve with maple syrup, chocolate or toppings of your choice and enjoy!
