The first permanent Central Perk location goes beyond the screen to set up shop IRL on the Boston stage. A café inspired by the NBC series that will forever be in the collective memory, located in a brownstone building on Newbury Street, where all those mythical scenes from the 90s sitcom can be recreated.

Central Perk Coffeehouse, beyond paying tribute to Friends in general, will pay tribute to Matthew Perry, the character who played Chandler Bing throughout the series, leaving an eternal legacy that will now also remain in this coffee shop, distributing a coffee mug cover with the theme of his character with the phrase: ‘Can I Interest You in a Sarcastic Comment’.

Between evocative elements from the series such as an oversized orange sofa, green umbrellas adorned with the brand’s updated logo, or coffee cup covers with quotes from the characters, this modern iteration of Central Perk in 2024 modernises the design of the fictional cafe through a contemporary design space fused with nostalgia.

Beyond the aesthetic and emotional tribute, the intention of the café is to become a legitimate culinary destination in which to live the experience in an immersive way through dishes with references to the series, such as Rachel Green’s salad, Ross Geller’s sandwich, Monica’s homemade jam or Joey’s grandmother’s chicken salad, together with a selection of local beers and natural wines that will elevate its gastronomic script.
