Dodo Pizza chain, available in 19 countries, has just launched a flavor generator using artificial intelligence, which is capable of creating more than 30 million possible combinations. Using a table containing 35 ingredients, users can combine them as they wish to choose their perfect pizza.
Available for the moment in its Dubai app, this ChatGPT-based generator starts the process with a series of questions about the user’s mood and tastes. Options such as “movie night” or “post-workout” are some of the ideas available. Among the list of ingredients that have been incorporated, popcorn, guacamole, melon or falafel stand out. According to Dodo Pizza, the aim of this flavor generator is “not only to build a virtual flavor generator, but also to ensure that all AI fantasies could come true”.
The Dodo Pizza team also established restrictions for the artificial intelligence to specify some ingredients that cannot be mixed with each other, or to give the customer the possibility to choose a vegan option or exclude a specific food. In this way, when the customer sends his creation, the pizzeria’s cooks will prepare it to taste, turning the order into a totally personalized experience.
