The first conversations began in January, and now it seems that an agreement in principle has materialized between the brewery Damm and the investment fund Qatar Sports Investments (of Premier Padel) for the sale of the World Padel Tour (WPT) and thus create a single professional padel circuit worldwide in 2024.
Although nothing definitive has been signed yet, as reported by various sources related to the companies, the initial agreement is moving forward firmly. In addition, they have also assured that the current 2023 circuit will be maintained as planned without suffering any modification for this action.
After a somewhat convulsive period in the control of such an emerging sport as paddle tennis, it seems that it is now heading towards a satisfactory end that will be made official in the coming days and which could reveal all the details of how everything will be structured from next year, under the ownership of the QSI fund and the participation of the Damm beer brand.
