Chef Javi Estévez, who has the restaurants La Tasquería and El Lince in Madrid, has just started a collaboration with the hotel chain Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels to bring Spanish gastronomy to Mauritius, according to a press release.

With this action, the chef aims to promote and bring Spanish cuisine closer to the guests of the Trou Aux Biches Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa in Mauritius, which is the first establishment to launch this collaboration.

Guests will taste four Spanish emblems

For the remainder of 2023, the hotel, located in the northern part of the country, will include in its restaurant menus four typical Spanish dishes, whose recipes have been prepared by Javi Estévez. Specifically, diners will be able to order potato omelette, Russian salad, ham croquettes and salmorejo with egg and ham.

“The collaboration has been incredible, since cooking and bringing a part of Spanish gastronomy to a country with a culture so different from ours is something very nice for a chef,” said Estévez after this experience.

In this way, and after the good reception it has had among clients, Beachcomber Resorts & Hotels has agreed with Javi Estévez to extend the collaboration until the end of 2024.
