Capsa Food, Central Lechera Asturiana Group, has signed this Wednesday the contract for the purchase of the remaining 50% of the company Lácteas Flor de Burgos S.L. to Lactan Holding Group, S.L., after having already acquired the other 50% in January 2020, according to a press release.

With this operation, Capsa Food will exceed 1,000 million euros of turnover in the next year and 1,200 employees. In addition, the Asturian dairy company incorporates to the group this new factory located in Burgos, which will be added to the six production centers that it has distributed in Spain (Asturias, Galicia, Madrid and Catalonia, the latter in shared participation with other partners).

Capsa Food reinforces its commitment and presence in the cheese market, reaching 140 million euros in turnover thanks to the acquisition of Lácteas Flor de Burgos S.L., consolidating its position as the seventh largest operator in the Spanish cheese market.

Flor de Burgos, an approximate turnover of 100 million

It should be noted that Capsa has a great cheese-making tradition, having in its portfolio products such as Cabrales Central Lechera Asturiana cheese, the most awarded cheese in the world, or its Galician cheeses under the umbrella of the Larsa brand, which it has been offering to consumers for nearly a century.

Lácteas Flor de Burgos S.L. will close this year with a turnover of close to 100 million euros, consolidating the growth it has shown in previous years. It is a company with a long cheese-making tradition that has been offering a wide variety of dairy products for more than four family generations, its flagship product being fresh cheese from Burgos.

Currently, the company offers a large number of references ranging from fresh cheeses in multiple formats, to spreadable cheeses, yogurts, quark, Italian cheeses, grated cheeses, etc.
