We have compiled some of his proposals, so you can get inspired at home and make an authentic movie cocktail.

Butterbeer from ‘Harry Potter’

A few years ago, the youtuber shared a recipe inspired by the famous Butter Beer that appears in the wizarding saga and that the main characters drink in the Hogsmeade locale. Actually, J.K. Rowling was inspired by a recipe from 1588 that appeared in a Tudor cookbook. Easy to prepare and, as Greg says, delicious.

  • 1.5 liters of Real Ale
  • 1 inch of grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 6 cloves
  • 225 g demerara sugar
  • 5 egg yolks
  • 100 g butter

Flaming Moe’s from ‘The Simpsons’

In his How To Drink channel we can also find another mythical cocktail inspired by Moe’s Flameado, which appears in an episode of ‘The Simpsons’ more than 30 years ago. Originally “invented” by Homer, this time the youtuber has omitted the secret ingredient of the syrup, as specified in the video. If you’ve always been curious to try it, it’s relatively simple to make, so prepare your own version!
