Barceló Hotel Group‘s expansion continues in Cape Verde. An enclave in which it plans to invest more than 80 million in the acquisition, repositioning and development of new hotels over the next few years.

The hotel group made its debut in the African country on 15 May with the new five-star Barceló Praia Cape Verde hotel, built on the famous Prainha beach. A modern, newly built hotel with a wide range of facilities and 80 spacious rooms, most of them with idyllic views of both the sea and the beach.

On the other hand, the ‘Occidental Boa Vista Beach‘ hotel is another of the resorts that Barceló has opened this week on the island of Boa Vista, with a grandiose 300-room infrastructure located on the beachfront of Chaves beach.

Following the opening of these two establishments, the Mallorcan hotel chain plans to open a second hotel in Boa Vista -formerly known as Hotel Marine Club Beach Resort- with a 5-star category and 160 rooms, which will operate under the Barceló Hotels & Resorts brand.

As part of Barceló‘s expansion plan, a new adults-only resort is also planned for construction on Isla de Sal, specifically in the Pontao area, with a 5-star category and 260 rooms.
