The American cultural icon has published a memoir in which we learn about the foods and drinks that have nourished her throughout her 60-year career. Right from the start, Barbra surprises us with her wide variety of home-cooked meals, but if we go a little further into the book, we come to the section on the sweets she loves, which she shares with some American favourites: Reese’s, M&M’s and Tootsie Pops, according to Instacart. Although, as she confesses in her book, Streisand loves Goldenberg’s Peanut Chews above all others.

The “Funny Girl” star even talked about how she and her friend Quincy Jones shared great holiday moments, and that during the plane ride they loved to share a candy bar they used to eat when they were little in Brooklyn, Goldenberg’s Peanut Chews… and how all the Warner planes were full of them.

These Philadelphia-made candy bars are made with a combination of peanuts and dark chocolate, mainly, along with other ingredients such as corn syrup, sugar, salt and additives. Since 1917, they have been a hit with children but also with celebrities such as Streisand, who has even dedicated a space to them in her memoirs.
