Actor Danny Trejo is best known for his appearances in films such as Machete, Spy Kids and Open Till Dawn. But the villain-like performer has also found a real business in the restaurant business. In 2016, Danny Trejo opened his first taco place in Los Angeles, called Trejo’s Tacos, and today he already has 5 establishments in California. But that’s not all, because Danny will open later this month his first restaurant in London.
Located in Notthing Hill, the new Trejo’s Tacos will have a capacity for 70 diners indoors and 30 on the terrace, as well as a “speakeasy” cocktail bar. The menu will include some of its highlights such as carne asada tacos with pesto or shrimp tostadas, Baja beer battered fish, blackened salmon or beef brisket. In the liquid section, highlights include the Frozen OG Margarita and the Lavender Paloma, which combines tequila with smoked mezcal and fresh lavender.
The actor has not only found a business in tacos. He also has his own donut shops, called Trejo’s Coffee & Donuts, specializing in breakfast, with these donuts as the main protagonist of his menu.
And that’s not all because he also has his own liquor brand, Trejo’s Spirits, which includes tequila and gin, as well as several cookbooks. Come on, adding tacos, donuts and liquors, Danny Trejo is a 100% foodie.
