Entering Stanley Tucci’s website is a real culinary masterclass. The actor, cook and writer shares numerous gastronomic contents, including recipes -especially Italian-, tips and interviews. One of the latest creations he has shared is a lobster gnocchi recipe he cooked with his whole family.
To prepare this delicious dish, Tucci enlisted the help of his wife, Felicity Blunt, and his son Nicolo. On the one hand, Felicity – as Stanley affectionately calls his wife – made the gnocchi, while his son prepared the fresh tomato sauce that was accompanied by lobster. Here is a recipe inspired by this preparation, so that you can also make it at home.
Gnocchi with prawns recipe
Ingredients:
- 500 g potato gnocchi
- 250 g ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 300 g cooked peeled prawns
- Olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- A pinch of dried chilli
- Chopped basil leaves
- 50 ml dry white wine
- 50 ml of cooking cream
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Preparation:
- In a large frying pan, heat the olive oil and add the garlic, chilli, basil and prawns. Cook for one minute over high heat – or until the prawns turn color.
- Then pour in the wine and simmer until reduced by half.
- Finally, add the tomatoes, cook again for about 5 minutes and add the cream for another minute.
- To finish cooking the dish, put the gnocchi in a pot with boiling water and salt, and cook for about 3 minutes. Drain well and then add them to the sauce pan, along with a couple of tablespoons of the cooking water. Stir well and ready.
